BWT 808nm High Brightness Fiber-coupled Diode Lasers

The 808nm pump wavelength has long been used for Nd:YAG diode-pumped solid state(DPSS) lasers. As the power and brightness of pump diodes continue to improve, the fiber-coupled 808nm pumps are also increasingly used for medical and materials processing applications. BWT Beijing announced the newly developed 808nm diode lasers utilized the multi-emitter pump platform to achieve 35W and 60W output power from 105um fiber, also 100W output from 200um fiber.
This increase in power was accomplished via spatial and polarization-beam combination schemes and the design combined with optimized beam shaping, compact package and the low thermal load, ensured easy integration into a wide variety of applications.
