DILAS Announces Up to 270W, 976nm Fiber Laser Pump Module

The module is based on DILAS’ tailored bar architecture. This innovative platform combines optimized chip structures with high brightness beam shaping technologies, all assembled with automated production processes. The tailored bar is a monolithic multiemitter source, allowing the handling of multiple emitters during each manufacturing step, to lower complexity and ease manufacturing. The result is enhanced reproducibility, beam quality and fiber coupling efficiency. 

250W of scalable output power is delivered out of a 200µm, NA 0.22, modestrip cladding power free, non-detachable, pigtailed fiber. More output power is achieved by using a non-detachable fiber with 225µm core at NA 0.22, producing 270W at its pigtailed fiber exit. 

In addition, single wavelength scalability of output power, up to 2kW into 400µm has been demonstrated by incorporating multiple modules by spatial and polarization multiplexing techniques into larger assemblies. 

These tailored bar based, fiber-coupled modules target a wide range of high power fiberlaser pumping applications in industry and research and development, as well as in direct diode applications.
